Vista Bella
Availability : August to SeptemberVista Bella is one of the first early apples found in groceries at the end of August. It has to be consumed quickly because its lifespan is one week.
This early variety comes from New Jersey and was introduced into orchards in 1974.

Jersey Mac
Availability : Mid-August to SeptemberJersey Mac is an early large, dark red with white flesh apple. This variety was introduced into orchards in 1972.

Sunrise
Availability : August End to SeptemberSunrise is one of the best early varieties to pick at the start of apple season.
Originally from the Pacific Agri-Food Research Centre located in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, this variety is a cross between McIntosh and Golden Delicious with a chance seedling, and was introduced into orchards in 1991.

Paula Red
Availability : End of August to OctoberPaula Red is the first late variety apple produced in Québec as a large-scale market entry.
It comes from a chance seedling, possibly Cortland. This variety comes from Michigan and was introduced into orchards in 1967.

Lobo
Availability : Mid-September to NovemberLobo is a variety that can produce large fruit. It is excellent to eat and delicious in pies, as it tends to keep its shape when cooked.
Developed at the Federal Station Ottawa Agricultural Research Centre in 1909, this variety was introduced in 1930 into orchards.

McIntosh
Availability : October to JuneMcIntosh is an excellent apple to eat and for applesauce. It is preferred because of its abundant and sweet juice. This variety is still very popular with Quebec consumers. Quebec, with its cool autumns, also offers exceptional conditions for this variety.
This variety was discovered in Ontario and introduced into orchards in 1836.

Honeycrisp
Availability : October to AprilHoneycrisp is a popular variety with consumers because it is exceptionally crispy and juicy. It is named after the delicate honey taste that characterizes it. Its flesh is a beautiful creamy color which does not oxidize easily. This apple is usually large in size and quality. It is the ideal eating apple knife, which you can enjoy on all occasions.
Introduced into orchards in 1991 by the University of Minnesota, this is a new variety and its presence continues to increase in the coming years.
